Ico Costa is a Portuguese film director and producer who works between Portugal and Mozambique. His work includes short and feature films in both fiction and documentary, exploring diverse themes and narrative styles. His notable short films include Four Hours Barefoot (2012), Nyo Vweta Nafta (2017), Timkat (2021), and Domy+Ailucha: Ket Stuff! (2022), while in documentary he has directed Uproar, Eclipse (2017) and Balane 3 (2025). In fiction, his standout feature films are Alva (2019) and Gold Songs (2024). In 2019, he founded the production company Oublaum Filmes, which has brought films to festivals such as Berlinale, Locarno, and Cannes. He currently continues to direct and produce films between Portugal and Mozambique.
