Yingtong Li is an active writer and director with a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts. Believing that "the most personal is the most universal," Yingtong’s work focuses on personal stories of people living on the margins of society. Her most recent narrative short film, The Silent Whistle (2022), premiered at Cannes, won the Gotham Awards for Focus Features & JetBlue Short Film Showcase, and was selected for numerous Oscar-qualifying and BAFTA-qualifying film festivals.
